Supporting Newcomer and Immigrant Art Professionals
The Immigrant Council for Arts Innovation (ICAI) cordially invites settlement organizations, career counsellors, employment counsellors, individuals and organizations supporting newcomers and immigrants to our virtual information session : Supporting newcomer and immigrants arts professionals.
This information session will provide strategies, tips and best practices for supporting newcomers and immigrants working in the arts sector as internationally trained professional artist, arts managers, performers, culture workers, heritage workers etc.
We created this information session to create awareness within the arts community and to advocate for the newcomers and immigrants working in the creative industry.
In this session, we will share practical ways on how you can make your organization’s programs, calls for submissions and employment opportunities accessible to immigrants and newcomers who are professional artists and art workers.
You will also learn about our programs at ICAI and how we support and provide employment for these professionals.
