StoryBook Theatre is currently seeking teachers and teaching assistants for our Let’s Create A Play theatre school programming in Cochrane. We are looking for experienced drama teachers and professional artists to instruct children ages eight to 12. Assistants will support instructors during all classes and performances/presentations.

Let’s Create a Play – Play Creation

Contract Hours: Fall, October 14 – December 16, 2018

Operating Hours: Sundays from 9:45am – 12:30pm
Location: Frank Wills Memorial Hall (#405 – 1st Street East, Cochrane)

Skills & Qualifications – Teachers

• Bachelor’s degree in drama and/or education or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum two years teaching or directing experience.
• Must have a passion for sharing theatre with young artists.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• High level of personal organization and planning.
• Strong Interpersonal skills.
• Must work well in a team setting.
• Knowledge of technical theatre is an asset.
• Basic first aid is an asset.
• Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check.
