TENDR (two emotional nobodies demanding rights) is looking for submissions from YYC/Mohkinstsis-based minority creatives to be featured in our new publication: en·gen·der.
en·gen·der’s editorial mission is to challenge contemporary conversations around race, gender, and queerness through visual art, editorial interviews, photography, illustrations, and critical writing. Our collective strives to foster engagement and critical dialogue through printed works.
We are looking for work that explores this dialogue from an experimental and subversive perspective, outside of the realm of mainstream narratives. This is the platform to exhibit radical works of art, politicized essays on body politics, comics criticizing societal structures of oppression, etc. We only ask that your submission be able to exist in a two-dimensional magazine spread.
TENDR is committed to paying a small honorarium for all works that are selected for our publication.

We are committed to removing any barriers to the best of our abilities that any applicant may experience in their application process. If you have work that would suit our publication and are unable to complete your application for any reason please contact us at least 48 hours in advance of the deadline so we can work to find a solution together.
