The 411 About Us
THIRD ACTion Film Festival works to create an age-positive culture shift through film and film based events. We have an annual three-day festival and monthly screenings from October to May. We are preparing for our sixth festival and recently achieved charity status.
The Role
You will have a leading role as a board member and treasurer (supreme bean counter).
You will use your superpowers to:
- Promote the festival, our mission, vision and values across your networks.
- Be a role model for your sidekick (our executive director) so she can gain from your knowledge and experience.
- Use your superpowers to keep the coalition (the board of directors) in the loop and at the ready to take action (creation of quarterly & year-end financial statements).
Now for Something a Bit More Serious
Qualifications:
- Background, and education in finance (i.e. bachelor’s degree in commerce, CPA, etc.).
- Knowledge of meeting procedures and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to function in a collaborative environment with key stakeholders (staff, volunteers, sponsors and partners).
