Umbrella Talks 4

Practice. Practice. Practice.

The deadline for this opportunity has passed.

Umbrella Talks is a series of professional development sessions that will run through Fall 2019. These sessions will address questions about artists’ education, representation and how to survive professionally as an artist. Elephant Artist Relief Society (EAR) hopes that Umbrella Talks will grow into a yearly endeavour, to address topics and concerns that will help develop the practices of artists of all disciplines, origins, and approaches to their art.

The final session of Umbrella Talks for 2019 is Practice. Practice. Practice. and will be hosted by EAR’s own Katy McKelvey. Katy will be hosting a panel and delivering a Q&A session with various art profesionals. The artists will be from various artistic fields like photography, film, visual arts, performance and literary fields. Get their perspectives on their art careers and how they make a living and be inspired by your local peers. Panel Artists include Mark Dicey, Vicki Chau and Chelsea Yang-Smith.
