Vice President
The Calgary Jazz Orchestra (CJO) has been an integral part of the Calgary music community for over 16 years. Founded in 2004 by Johnny Summers, the CJO was created as an environment to showcase, challenge and strengthen the creativity and skills of professional Calgary musicians and support the music community.
Our musicians, board of directors, patrons, sponsors and volunteers come together as a diverse community to appreciate the arts. We welcome people of all ages, gender identity, sexual orientation, racial or ethnic origin.
About the Role
The vice president is a vital part of the CJO’s board of directors, who works closely with the president and artistic director to:
- Oversee the direction of the board
- Oversee the Calgary Jazz Orchestra as a business
- Attend all board meetings
- Aid in planning and overseeing the CJO performances throughout the concert season
