Mural Roster
The City of Victoria would like to add to its roster of pre-qualified artists to be available for mural opportunities between April 2023 and October 2025. This roster helps streamline the City’s process for selecting artists for City projects and helps to connect artists with local businesses and organizations looking to enhance their exterior walls with a mural. It will also assist the City in connecting a neighbourhood association or school with an artist to coordinate a community mural project.
Previous artist fees for City mural projects have ranged from $500 – $15,000 (dependent on scope/complexity).
A selection panel will choose the approved artists within this competition. Submissions to the mural roster will be assessed on an artist’s unique visual storytelling style, their experience creating dynamic murals, collaborating with the community and working on complex mural projects. Artists who are selected for the roster will be included on the City’s mural roster webpage.
Eligibility: The competition is open to mural artists who are current residents of Western Canada (Alberta & British Columbia).
Information Session: Interested applicants can join an online information session to learn more and ask questions.

Application Process: In order to be considered, artists are invited to submit an application and up to 10 supporting images along with the Digital Image Documentation sheet, Your Mural Roster Application Form and accompanying documents (please refer to the Call to Artists for details) must be submitted electronically at victoria.bonfirehub.ca
Expression hardcopies will not be accepted.
