Archived March 13, 2018 Gallery Assistant Application Deadline: March 24, 2018 Terms: Part-time (20 hrs per week) Start Date: May 1, 2018 Salary Level: $18/hour Responsibilities: Greet and welcome visitors to the gallery. Initiate discussions about the exhibition on view. Open and close the gallery space on time. Provide assistance to the Gallery Director and Founder/Owner in the administration and operations of the gallery. Ideal Candidate: Enrolled in or completed a post-secondary program in art history, visual and/or media arts, museum studies or a related field. Demonstrates a solid knowledge of and a keen interest in contemporary art. Comfortable interacting with members of the public. Responsible, hardworking, enthusiastic and dynamic.
