What is this thing… Art for Social Change?

Date: October 14, 2022
Time: 10am – 12 noon MT
Location: Online, free registration

Do you struggle with all the terminology about what it means to be an artist dedicated to community-engaged art for social change? But deep down you know that art and social change is where your passion lives?

Join renowned artist Judith Marcuse as she leads this online interactive session, where she will use her decades of expertise, pulling apart the notion of what it can mean to be a socially driven artist working in community settings. She’ll share stories and ideas about common barriers, some arts-based methods, and address your questions about ways to create meaningful and purpose-driven change through artmaking and dialogue.

No experience is needed. All you need is your curiosity, an open mind and to be ready to play!

Yes, you read that right!

You will, however, need to have paper and writing utensils handy to fully participate in this session.

Capacity 35 participants.
