Calgary Transit is looking for emerging youth artists age 16 to 30 living in Calgary and the Treaty 7 area to create artwork for vests that will be worn by Calgary transit ambassadors.

The transit ambassador program was introduced in December as a way to maintain visibility for customers on CTrains and platforms. Transit Ambassadors engage with riders, answer questions and help with wayfinding, as well as provide customer service during planned and unplanned service disruptions.

The new vest artwork will serve to immediately identify ambassadors and distinguish them from law enforcement officers.

The deadline to apply is Monday, April 24, 2023.

The winning artist will be contacted at the beginning of May 2023

We are looking for applicants who:

• Are between the ages of 16 and 30 (applicants under 18 will require parent or guardian consent if their design is chosen)
• Live in Calgary
• Are the sole owner of any artwork submitted
• Are able to work within the provided timeframe
• Are able to provide the finished design as a vector file (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG)
