Registration is now open for the Youth Singers of Calgary 2019/20 season! Youth Singers of Calgary (YSC) is a vibrant performing arts company and an exceptional education program that encompasses singing, dancing and theatre arts, for ages 3.5 to adult.

All classes are taught by highly qualified instructors and professional performers. YSC encourages personal and artistic excellence, self-confidence, and teamwork while fostering a life-long interest in the performing arts. Youth Singers performs at numerous events throughout Calgary each year, travels extensively (both nationally and internationally) and often accompanies top entertainers.

YSC Core Programming

The ultimate triple-threat programming for ages eight and up. Featuring a leading-edge professional curriculum, the musical repertoire ranges from classical choral, to rock, to your favourite musical theatre numbers. Learn important teamwork and leadership skills, make new friends, gain confidence, and find your new home-away-from-home.

• KIDAZZLE (Grade 3) Thursdays at 5:15
• KIDZXPRESS (Grades 4-6) Thursdays at 5:30pm
• JUNIOR HI (Grade 7-9) Mondays at 6:00pm
• SENIOR HI* (Grades 10-12) Wednesday at 6:oopm
• ACT3 (post-secondary & career) Wednesdays at 7:00pm

*Students in the Senior Hi division can earn Alberta Education High School credits to put towards their graduation requirements.

Early Childhood
Kids & Music (pre-K to grade 2) Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Saturdays, times vary

The first step in the Youth Singers program. Designed for Pre-K to Grade 2, this program teaches kids the basics of music theory, rhythm, and movement. KIDS & MUSIC is a progressive four-level program designed to develop musical abilities in children.

Semi-Professional Vocal Groups (auditioned)

  • ONCUE (A Capella) Thursdays at 7:00pm
  • SHINE (song & dance) Mondays at 7:30pm

Adult Choirs

  • Encore (alumni and auditioned) Mondays at 7:00pm
  • SECOND CHANTS (non-auditioned, 25+) Tuesdays at 7:00pm

Special Needs Programs

  • STAR (youth ages 9+ with cognitive delays) Mondays at 5:45 or 6:45pm
  • STAR YOUNG ADULT (young adults with cognitive delays) Mondays at 7:45pm

YSC Camps

  • Day-Off (Grades 1-6) Select Fridays throughout the year 9:00am – 4:00pm
  • Week-long spring break and summer camps (Grades 1-8)
