Street Art Program for Youth

Updated Registration Deadline: June 29, 2018

This program is designed to provide a hands-on experience to youth who are interested in street art. Guided by a professional lead artist, the program allows up to 14 youth aged 12 to 17 to participate in a five-week workshop series focused on the history, culture, tools and techniques of urban muralism and street art.

The Street Art Program for Youth creates a strong sense of community amongst youth interested in the practice of street art while inspiring them with professional street artists & mentors. The youth who participate in this program work with a lead artist to design, develop and install a large-scale street art mural in the city that they can be proud to call their own.

The program will run from July 4 to August 15, 2018, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 4:30 to 7:00pm at the Historic Holy Angels School (2105 Cliff St. SW).

Please contact publicart@calgary.ca to register. Registration deadline is June 29, 2018.
