Former Calgary Poet Laureate, Sheri-D Wilson is excited to announce the expansion of her legacy project, YYC POP: Portraits of People! YYC POP is a multi-aspect project: a published book, online exhibit, and poetry in transit. Sheri-D Wilson is excited at this time to announce a new aspect of this project, poetry by the students of Calgary! We are inviting the students of Calgary to submit poems of a portrait of someone they know. Students of all ages are welcome to write a portrait in the form of a poem, prose poem, or snapshot about a Calgarian. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their talents with an added potential to have their writing published alongside professional writers.
