Join us on Monday, September 16, 2024 for the second in our series of 2024 Equity Town Halls. This session focuses on changing minds and perspectives through art.

Explore how artists are working to reverberate why trans rights are human rights that we all need to be fighting for. Hear a discussion between transgendered art makers JD Derbyshire and Sable Sweetgrass, and learn about Sable’s new play and their artist/activist initiative ART Rights.

This is part of our free online 2024 Equity Town Hall series focusing on the theme Live Action Heroes. Conversations will be led by EDIA heroes who are doing the do — local artist/activists imagining and activating change.

We acknowledge that the land we gather on, Mohkinsstsis, is the ancestral territory of the Siksikaitsitapi — the Blackfoot people — comprising the Siksika, Kainai and Piikani Nations, as well as Treaty 7 signatories, the Tsuut’ina Nation and the Îyârhe Nakoda Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney First Nations.
