Cowboy Smithx

Tapping into the frequencies of the land makes anything possible

A Blackfoot filmmaker from the Piikani and Kainai Nations in Southern Alberta, Cowboy Smithx uses his culture as a foundation to create. Smithx is the founder and curator of the highly acclaimed international Indigenous speaker series REDx Talks and is the artistic director for the Iiniistsi Treaty Arts Society.

“I think creativity is very much a spiritual realm, it’s a nexus between reality and what is potentially possible or what is potentially impossible,” he says. “Bringing all of those dimensions together to create something out of thin air, I think that’s a magical thing.”
