Loft112 is a creative hive where ideas are given space to develop, a place where established and emerging writers, readers, artists and poets are supported, a place where unheard voices are given a platform and a place of collaboration.

It is a literary/creative/community space which believes that writers and members of the larger creative Calgary community benefit from an affordable space in which creative (writing) activities are organized, promoted, and shared.

A central and established location for such a centre enables individuals and groups to reserve affordable space in which to meet with others from the literary and creative community.

The presence of an affordable and centralized writing and creative community attracts different groups to come together to share work, learn and teach, and celebrate both the art and study of contemporary word, craft and art.
