With more than 75,000 fans expected to take in the four day affair, the weekend is shaping up to be a great celebration of all things pop culture. From comics, gaming, anime, horror, fantasy, sci-fi, and more, enjoy a weekend of cosplay and meet your favourite stars. And with more than 600 vendors and artists also on site, there’s something for every fandom. Guests include comic creators Stan Lee and Todd McFarlane, film/television stars Jeremy Renner, John Cusack, Steven Yeun, Kristian Nairn, Nathan Fillian, and Peter Capaldi, and newly expanded video gaming, table-top gaming, and family zone areas. There’s even a chance to see the results from the Calgary Expo 48 Hour Film Challenge and don’t forget to hit up the POW! Parade of Wonders on April 28! Other special events include a live recording of Jay & Silent Bob Get Old and the Calgary Expo Official After Party featuring James Marsters (yes, Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) in concert.
