Showcasing the films of Wong Kar-Wai as part of its Masters Series, join Calgary Cinematheque as it screens the Hong Kong romantic drama, 2046.

A loose sequel to Days of Being Wild and In the Mood for Love, it follows the aftermath of Chow Mo-wan’s unconsummated affair with Su Li-zhen in 1960s Hong Kong. Adding in science fiction elements, the story is presented in a non-chronological order.

An auteur with an instantly recognizable style, Wong Kar-Wai is known for his eye-popping visuals and memorable music. The second of four films selected by Calgary Cinematheque, each screening highlights the core style of Wong Kar-Wai as well the range of his filmmaking.

2046 screens at 7:00pm on November 23, 2017 at the Globe Cinema (617 8th Ave. SW). Presented in Cantonese, Japanese, and Mandarin with English subtitles, advance tickets and memberships can be found at
