A powerful film that smartly shows how corruption can take hold in society aided by men who lurk in the shadows and pull the strings, join Calgary Cinematheque as it kicks off its Contemporary World Cinema series.

The series presents a selection of the most vital, challenging, and artistically cutting-edge films from around the world. Don’t miss these one-of-a-kind works, which likely will not return to theatres in Calgary. It all starts with Mohammad Rasoulof’s A Man of Integrity.

Telling the story of a goldfish farmer in a small Iranian village who faces financial ruin when his river-sourced water supply is cut off, the film won the Cannes Film Festival Un Certain Regard Prize.

A Man of Integrity screens at 7:00pm on November 1, 2018 at the Globe Cinema (617 8th Ave. SW). Advance tickets and memberships can be found at calgarycinema.org.
