The Choir of the Cathedral Church of the Redeemer will be the visiting choir in residence at Ely Cathedral in Cambridgeshire, UK and are raising funds in advance of the tour.

Led by Director of Music Neil Cockburn, the choir will sing the daily choral services, July 11 to 17, 2016, in the 930-year-old medieval building.

The concert includes choral and organ greats of the Anglican Tradition, as well as the world premiere of a newly commissioned work, Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis (The Calgary Canticles) by Zachary Wadsworth. The Calgary Canticles were commissioned by James and Elaine Hutchison in memory of organist, teacher, loving and beloved brother, Dr. James Ritter Werner, and will also be performed by the choir in Ely Cathedral.

Across the Pond takes place June 18, 2016 at 7:30pm at the Cathedral Church of the Redeemer (604 1 St SE). Tickets are available at the door and free for children five and under. Visit anglicancathedralcalgary.ca for more information or call 403.269.1905 ext. 117.
