Cure your winter cabin fever and wander from stage to stage, Calgary Folk Music Festival’s fifth annual Block Heater takes over the heart of Calgary’s Inglewood and East Village.

With over 30 artists, homegrown to the far-flung, hear everything from the truest folk to the newest hip hop in concerts and collaborative sessions at five uniquely Calgary venues—Central Library, Festival Hall, Gorilla Whale, Ironwood, King Eddy, and Studio Bell.

Block Heater’s 2020 edition even expands its offerings with additional venues, programming, and artists. Highlights include performances from Shane Koyczan, Chad VanGaalen, Hannah Georgas, nêhiyawak, and more. You can even check out a special Black Future Month focus with AfrotroniX, Son Little, Cécile Doo-Kingué, Élage Diouf, Sunny War, Lynn Olagundoye, and Karimah. It’s going to be one for the record books!

Block Heater runs February 20 to 22, 2020 and the full schedule can be found at calgaryfolkfest.com.
