Radiohead Steve Hackman joins the Calgary Phil for a night of unexpected classical music Amy Jo Espetveidt Location Jack Singer Concert Hall, Arts Commons 205 8th Ave. SE Price $25 - $85 Buy Tickets A synthesis of Brahms’ Symphony No. 1, first performed in 1882, and Radiohead’s album OK Computer, released over a century later in 1997, arranger and conductor Steve Hackman constantly challenges what is possible and permissible. Hackman is one of the most innovative artists contributing to a contemporary landscape in classical music. Taking Radiohead songs and altering or superimposing them above Brahms’ score, this project creates new journeys in a compelling and captivating world. Vocalists Kéren Tayar, Will Post, and Andrew Lipke join the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra for this one-of-a-kind presentation. Catch Brahms v. Radiohead at 7:30pm on March 9, 2019 at the Jack Singer Concert Hall, Arts Commons (205 8th Ave. SE).
