A darkly comic solo piece that evokes unsettling truths about where our planet may be headed, Downstage Theatre’s High Performance Rodeo offering is bound to be captivating.

April is an eager anthropologist who intends to chronicle the lives of Margaret and her unusual child but quickly becomes more entangled in their lives than anticipated. Directed by Downstage’s Artistic Director Ellen Close with a stunning production design by local visual artists Caitlind r.c. Brown and Wayne Garrett, don’t miss your chance to see Georgina Beaty’s strange and beautiful dystopia.

Extremophiles runs January 16 to 20, 2018 at The Studio at Vertigo Theatre (161, 115 9th Ave. SE) and is part of the High Performance Rodeo.
