A new work originally co-commissioned and produced with The Banff Centre in 2003, this Calgary Opera original is now the most produced Canadian grand opera in history and returns in celebration of Canada’s 150th.

The production stars Lida Szkwarek as Filumena, Gregory Dahl as Emilio Picariello, Elizabeth Turnbull as Maria Picariello, Andrew Love as Charlie Losandro, Thomas Glenn as McAlpine, Ernesto Ramírez as Steve, and is conducted by Robert Dean with stage direction by Kelly Robinson.

Filumena runs February 4, 8 and 10, 2017 at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium (1415 14th Ave. NW). Visit for pricing details.
