Jan Steele’s Jawbreaker: Memoir of a Women’s Shelter

Taking place in the early 70s, this new book is written from the perspective of the author who was thrown into the front lines of Calgary’s first emergency women’s domestic violence shelter. Heart-breaking and hilarious, celebrate the launch of this new book by a local author and survivor of domestic violence. A discussion will follow the reading.
