Celebrate the Calgary launch of Joshua Whitehead’s debut novel, Jonny Appleseed, with Shelf Life Books. This vivid and utterly compelling novel tells the story of a young Two-Spirit/Indigiqueer character who must make his way back to the “rez” to attend the funeral of his stepfather. The reading also features Rain Prud’homme-Cranford.

Ciara McKeown questions definitions and perceptions of public art by examining practices outside of the expected approach to reconsider ideas of place and the role of the artist, while celebrating public art’s immense possibilities.
