In its second year of showcasing youth writers aged 12 to 16, Urban Stories Theatre offers two very different works—one about youth and one by youth.

This year’s Just Acts Youth Edition features a sneak peek at a new work by Helen Young and a presentation of a fantastic piece written and performed by The Stardale Women’s Group. A Touch of Grace tackles the teen sex trade by showing how the tragedy of a 14-year-old sex worker helps a case worker find a sense of hope and belonging. And The Make Believer Project mixes spoken word, poetry, and storytelling to give the young Indigenous creators a much deserved voice.

The Just Acts Youth Edition runs 7:30pm nightly from June 5 to 8, 2018 at the Knox United Church’s Lower Theatre (506 4th St. SW).
