When six young Irish men left their home to work in London, they always thought they’d return one day. As they gather 20 years later to say goodbye to one of their own, it becomes apparent that he will be the only one to make it home, albeit in a coffin.

Community theatre company The Liffey Players Drama Society has a rich history of staging popular and critically acclaimed productions with a special focus on plays by and about the Irish. The Kings of the Kilburn High Road takes place in one afternoon and evening at that pub. As the characters drink to their fallen friend, secrets are revealed and lies are uncovered.

The Kings of the Kilburn High Road runs November 4 to 12, 2016 at The Shed Theatre, Pumphouse Theatre (2140 Pumphouse Ave. SW).
