Three years in the making, The Major Matt Mason Collective and Ghost River Theatre turn a traditional fairytale on its head in Little Red.

Youth, violence, sexuality, family, and growing up, this retelling of Little Red Riding Hood is set against a modern landscape. Asking who is to blame for the big bad wolf, the production looks at the redefined ideas and awareness surrounding sexuality and gender. Featuring the ensemble of Major Matt Mason Collective members led by Ghost River Theatre’s Artistic Director Eric Rose, this highly theatrical devised creation is well worth checking out.

Little Red runs June 1 to 11, 2017 at the West Village Theatre (2007 10th Ave. SW) with pay-what-you-can previews on May 30 and 31. The performances on June 3 and 10 include a free post show panel featuring representatives from the Calgary Sexual Health Centre. Attendance at the performance is not required, all are welcome.
