Opening the School of Creative and Performing Arts’ drama season at the University of Calgary, Haysam Kadri takes the directorial reins. Metamorphoses explores renewal and perception, and the production set in and around a large pool of water. Juxtaposing the ancient with the contemporary in both language and image, it retells myths that are both widely and little known, such as King Midas, Orpheus, and Eurydice. Metamorphoses runs November 24 to December 2, 2017 at the Reeve Theatre, University of Calgary (210 University Court NW).
