Showcasing the talent training in Calgary’s School of Alberta Ballet, a private school where students balance their academic studies with rigorous ballet training, see its year end performance, Paquita & Other Works.

Including wide-ranging pieces highlighting both classical and contemporary ballet, the evening includes a portion of Paquita. Created for the Paris Opera Ballet in 1846 by Joseph Mazilier, Paquita follows the story of a young girl who was abducted as an infant but comes to discover she is of noble birth and can marry a French officer.

Paquita & Other Works takes place at 7:30pm on June 9, 2018 at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium (1415 14th Ave. NW).
