A fantastic evening with the University of Calgary’s School of Creative and Performing Arts, join the Penny Sanborn Trio for a tour of French musette, Italian, tango, and classical music performed on accordion, guitar, and bass.

Featuring Penny Sanborn, Jamie Philip, and Rubim de Toledo, Music faculty member and soprano Laura Hynes joins the trio for an evening of lyrical gems.

Don’t miss the pre-concert talk The Unknown Accordion with classical accordionist Antonio Peruch at 7:30pm in the Husky Oil Great Hall, Rozsa Centre. In his talk, Peruch explores the classical accordion as an exceptional medium for contrapuntal music of the past and present.

The concert takes place at 8:00pm on October 20, 2018 at the Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall, Rozsa Centre, University of Calgary (206 University Court NW).
