If your soul was a colour, what would it be? Louise Lecavalier believes it is blue and uses this thought to drive her spectacular dance piece So Blue.

Kicking off this year’s High Performance Rodeo is Lecavalier’s award-winning and first full-length choreography. The piece launched her career as a choreographer after an illustrious 18 years as muse and virtuoso performer of La La La Human Steps. The show includes two parts—a perilous solo accompanied by a swirling soundtrack composed by Turkish-born Montréaler Mercan Dede and a duo with Frédéric Tavernini.

So Blue runs January 5 to 7, 2017 at the DJD Dance Centre (111 12th Ave. SE) and is part of the High Performance Rodeo, running January 5 to February 2, 2017.
