Whimsical and imaginative, join the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra for an all-Ravel afternoon that brings many classics that belong in every child’s listening repertoire to stunning life.

The concert begins with the rollicking and beautifully orchestrated Rigaudon, continues with a gypsy’s fiery dancing in Tzigane—featuring internationally acclaimed violinist Yi-Jia Susanne Hou—and wraps with a surprise guest narrator sharing charming tales like Sleeping Beauty and Tom Thumb in the Mother Goose Suite.

Symphonic Fairytales takes place at 3:00pm on February 17, 2019 at the Jack Singer Concert Hall, Arts Commons (205 8th Ave. SE). And be sure to come early for the Instrument Discovery Zoo at 2:00pm.
