On September 24, 2016 Karl Hirzer will be leading the orchestra in its annual showcase, A Taste of the Calgary Philharmonic, highlighting some of the biggest moments of the new season. The evening features a range of genres from the upcoming year including samples from the Pops, Specials and Classics series. There’ll even be samples of film favourites from Harry Potter and Raiders of the Lost Ark, and a nostalgic piece by the Beatles. A Taste of the Calgary Philharmonic takes place at 8:00pm on September 24, 2016 at the Jack Singer Concert Hall, Arts Commons (205 8th Ave. SE).
