One of Broadway’s most critically-acclaimed plays, join Theatre Calgary as it presents Stephen Karam’s award-winning comedy, The Humans.

Peer inside a duplex tenement apartment in New York City’s Chinatown as the Blake family gathers for Thanksgiving. But when old tensions boil over and personal secrets hit the table, everyone must face their own hardships. Capturing the fears, the hopes, and the humanity of our times, The Humans is achingly real and piercingly funny.

Making her Theatre Calgary directing debut, Vanessa Porteous says the show is a great fit for the Theatre Calgary stage.

“It’s really great to have charge of such a great play,” she says in a statement. “The characters are very complicated, very human, and their problems are very relatable. The playwright, Stephen Karam, has given us everything we need to give a good show for the audience.

The Humans runs March 6 to 31, 2018 at the Max Bell Theatre, Arts Commons (240 9th Ave. SE). Tickets for all performances start as low as $35.
