Joined by members of the University of Calgary Orchestra and the Calgary Youth Orchestra, see, hear, and feel 300 musicians on stage as they perform Mahler’s favourite, the monumental and spiritually inspiring Resurrection Symphony. Also on the program is Brahms’ rarely heard Alto Rhapsody. Under the direction of conductor Rolf Bertsch, the concert features sopranno Laura Brandt and contralto Heather Meyers, supported by the voices of the Mount Royal Kantorei, Cum Vino Cantus, University of Calgary Chamber Choir, University of Calgary Chorus, Festival Chorus, St. Mary’s University Chorus, and the Ukrainian Male Chorus of Edmonton.
