The program is intended to discover, nurture, and promote young Calgary musicians with participants receiving exclusive instruction from the prestigious Calgary Pro Musica visiting artists. The Walden Piano Trio has been working together for over a year, already compiling an impressive list of accomplishments and was selected to compete in the Canadian Music Competition National Finals in June 2017. Featuring Andrew Park on cello, Daniel Dastoor on violin, and Daniel Szefer on piano, the program includes Schumann’s Trio No. 1 in D Minor, Op. 63, Beethoven’s Trio in E-flat Major, Op. 70, No. 2, and Paul Schoenfield’s Café Music. Come hear Calgary’s finest young talent showcased in this special event. The concert takes place at 8:00pm on May 7, 2018 at the Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall, Rozsa Centre, University of Calgary (206 University Court NW).
