When a blind woman finds herself terrorized by a trio of men, she’s in a desperate situation. That is until she discovers her blindness might just prove to be a secret weapon.

Vertigo Theatre presents Jeffrey Hatcher’s new adaptation of Frederick Knott’s classic thriller.

“Knott’s original play, and the subsequent screenplay that became the 1967 film starring Audrey Hepburn, have become iconic in the genre, and yet I’m of the opinion that the quite significant changes and shifts that Hatcher has made have markedly improved this classic thriller,” says director Simon Mallett in a statement. “The socio-political climate of World War II is significant in this new adaptation. Of course, there are a few new twists and turns from the original play along the way too, so even if you’re familiar with Knott’s original text, there just might be a surprise or two in store.”

Wait Until Dark runs January 26 to February 19, 2017, with previews January 21 to 25, in the Playhouse at Vertigo Theatre (161, 115 9th Ave. SE). Tickets start at $29 and are available at the Vertigo Theatre Ticket Office, by calling 403.221.3708 or at vertigotheatre.com.
