Part of Wordfest’s new spring festival—Sane Takes on an Insane World—catch this reading of excerpts from five new scripts in development. Word Play features performances by some of Calgary’s favourite actors including Kira Bradley, Ellen Close, Braden Griffiths, Michael Tan, Ayla Stevens, Anna Cummer, Louise Casemore, and Sarah Wheeldon, with direction and dramaturgy by Laurel Green and Valerie Planche. And you can even enjoy a post-show conversation with the Alberta Theatre Projects’ Playwrights Unit, moderated by local playwright and Unit Director Meg Braem. Wordfest & ATP present Word Play at 7:00pm on April 20, 2018 at the Engagement Lab, Memorial Park Library (2nd Floor, 1221 2nd St. SW). Tickets are pay-what-you-can (suggested donation of $15).
