Marina Nelson is a Calgary artist working in painting, sculpture and textile art. The magic and wonder of her world reveal themselves in images, both soft and hard, always in layers of meaning. Her stories emerge like flowers opening up their petals, one at a time, as the artist brings to light facets of a certain moment in time, of a precious memory. In the end, or in the beginning, it’s all about love.
Nelson explores various art forms as a connection to our human vulnerability, of which love is its ultimate manifestation.
