Chelsea Boida

Public Art Projects Manager

Chelsea Boida (she/her/hers) joined the Calgary Arts Development team in 2021 as Public Art Projects Manager. Previously, Chelsea has worked in public art with Edmonton Arts Council and is forever grateful to have supported the making of ᐄᓃᐤ (ÎNÎW) River Lot 11∞, an Indigenous Art Park cited in the White Goose Flying Report. Her interests in art, urban geography, and construction have been an asset while working with artists to bring further meaning to public spaces. Chelsea is passionate about the potential for public art processes to be part of the journey towards representing and recognizing the peoples and publics who are connected to those spaces.

As an artist she was commissioned by the municipal public art programs of Edmonton and Strathcona County. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Alberta.
