January 20, 2022 Artist Development Microgrant The Artist Development Microgrant was intended to provide one-time funding to individual artists and artist collectives in Calgary who had been impacted by COVID-19. It supported professional development and business development activities as well as the completion or adaptation of work that had been affected by COVID-19. We received 149 applications requesting $314,623.59, and were able to support 66 applications totalling $131,175.12. This program was supported through the Cultural Vitality Fund, with donations from Calgary Arts Foundation, Calgary Foundation, an anonymous donor to the Edmonton Community Foundation, RBC, and the Palmer Family Foundation.
