New Window Exhibition at Centre Street LRT

This spring, commuters and visitors at the Centre Street LRT platform can experience new artworks on view from March through May 2026. In the East Window Space, Echoes by artist Chidera Uzoka explores identity, culture and faith through oil and digital painting that centres the beauty and strength of Black narratives. In the West Window Space, Roots and Resilience by artist Raha Jazayeri reflects on human emotion and honours women’s stories of love, sacrifice and resilience.

These artworks are part of the Open Spaces: Windows to a View program and marks the first exhibition in a year-long partnership with the Women’s Centre of Calgary that highlights artists from the Centre’s artist-in-residence program.
