Calgary Arts Emergency Resiliency Fund

Applications closed

Through a $1,000,000 partnership with The City of Calgary in 2016 and 2017, this program allocated investments to arts organizations that had been affected by decreased revenues, such as earned and corporate support, and increased demand on programs as a result of the economic downturn.

These funds were provided in order to ensure that Calgarians could continue to enjoy the benefits of, and have access to, a strong local arts scene.

The arts play an important role in diversifying our economy, shaping our identity, inspiring our youth, building our city, and providing opportunities for Calgarians to make connections. We thank The City of Calgary for their ongoing support of the arts sector and, specifically, for allocating a portion of their one-time Emergency Resiliency Funds to support Calgary Arts Development’s increased demand for grants for the arts organizations in Calgary during this economic downturn.
