Composition: A Songwriters’ Retreat
Blue Jay Sessions is excited to announce its inaugural songwriters’ retreat!
Composition will take place from November 23 – 25, 2023 at Residence Inn by Marriott in Calgary’s Beltline and promises to be a unique, immersive experience for Canadian singer-songwriters… and a fun time too.
This retreat will give songwriters the opportunity to join in on collaborative songwriting sessions and panel discussions with experts like Jess Seguire (Alley Cat PR), Adam Oppenheim (Stampede Entertainment), Dani Strong of Taylor Entertainment, style advice by Kara Chomistek of PARK and Kim Noseworthy (School of Walk).
The retreat will feature a variety of mentors with a penchant for songwriting including celebrated Canadian pop singer Ralph, CCMA Award-winning musician Brandi Sidoryk (Nice Horse), CCMA Award-nominated artists Don Amero and Mallory Johnson, JUNO-Award-nominated Desiree Dorion and more.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to showcase at different Calgary venues such as King Eddy, Residence Inn and The Prairie Emporium on November 24 and 25, 2023.
