Public Art Microgrant Programs

Public Art Microgrant Programs

Calgary Arts Development is pleased to announce two new programs—the Community-Run Public Art Microgrant Program and the Artist-Initiated Public Art Microgrant Program.

Applications for both programs are now open and will be accepted via the online grant interface until 4:30pm MT on October 18, 2021. Be sure to read the full program guidelines before applying.

Calgary Arts Development public art microgrant investment funds are provided through the Government of Alberta and The City of Calgary. We thank these funders for their generous support.

Our programs are assessed by peer committees of artists and artistic community members. If you are interested in serving as a peer assessor, or would like to nominate someone, complete the assessor nomination form.

Information Sessions

Interested in applying? Calgary Arts Development is hosting two public art mircogrant information sessions. The purpose of these sessions is to provide more context about the microgrant programs, the specific goals, and criteria. They will also provide some approaches, examples, and questions that might be helpful to consider when determining if you will apply and how best to do so.
