The Common Ground Festival turns 10 years old in 2024!!! To celebrate this joyous occasion, we are looking for submissions from local artists! Are you a dancer? A playwright? A musician? A clown? A creator? If you’ve got a thing we’ve got a stage!

Common Ground’s 10th Birthday Bash will be taking place at the Pumphouse Theatre from November 20 – 23, 2024 in Calgary Alberta. The deadline for submissions is July 31, 2024.

Our commitment to Indigenous reconciliation, racial equity, disability justice, and gender and sexual diversity.

We acknowledge that the land we gather on, Mohkinsstsis, is the ancestral territory of the Siksikaitsitapi — the Blackfoot people — comprising the Siksika, Kainai and Piikani Nations, as well as Treaty 7 signatories, the Tsuut’ina Nation and the Îyârhe Nakoda Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney First Nations. Today this land is home to the Otipemisiwak Métis Government Districts 5 and 6 as well as many First Nations and Inuit from across Turtle Island.
