Call for Teaching Artists
Alberta Jubilee Society
The Alberta Jubilee Auditoria in Calgary and Edmonton are looking to recruit passionate arts and culture-based teaching artists who can design and implement 30-minute to 1-hour workshops for school-aged youth on a contract basis.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking artists who have a strong desire to share their artistic practice with youth through hands-on education. Applications are encouraged from all visual, technical, and performing arts disciplines, including but not limited to:
- Indigenous ways of knowing and teaching
- Actors, fight directors, playwrights, prop builders, costume and set designers, make-up artists
- Musicians, vocal coaches, hand percussionists
- Puppeteers, magicians, clowns
- Mixed media artists, muralists, graffiti artists
- Culture-based dancers
- Anything imaginable, please let us know what your special talent is.
As a guest teaching artist, you take great pride in activating artistry in others and sparking curiosity, wonder, and imagination through your teaching. You are thoughtful in your lesson plans and work towards achieving a wide variety of learning outcomes that engage all learners.
About our Arts Education Programs
Our arts education programs are customized, interactive, and rooted in curriculum. Creative explorations in the technical, visual, and performing arts will inspire learners and educators to make personal connections through the arts. Through our hands-on programming, students are exposed to a wide range of artistic educational experiences that support personal and social growth.
