Archives Clerk

The archives clerk will respond to requests from researchers in the community wishing to conduct archive-related research at Glenbow and will assist with the coordination of access to archive-related resources. This role is customer-service focused and the first point of contact for archive access requests. Work is expected to be completed in a respectful, timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Responding to inquiries regarding archival records held at Glenbow.
- Clarifying needs related to research requests and communicating Glenbow policies and processes.
- Identifying and gathering the necessary fonds related to access requests.
- Scheduling visits from researchers to Glenbow to review requested materials.
- Oversight of the safe use and return of resources during visits.
- Coordinating information as needed with other Glenbow staff.
- Ensuring requested resources are returned and safely secured.
- Following appropriate material handling and safety procedures.
- Staying up to date with Glenbow policies and procedures.
